Cabinetry Designer & Project Manager
Boxco Studio is a small, innovative cabinetry company based in Greenfield, MA, specializing in high-quality, modern plywood cabinetry. We believe in using the best materials in simple, intelligent ways to create cabinetry that is modern, beautiful, well-built, and durable.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Designer and Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee projects from initial estimates to final drawings to delivery, working closely with clients to customize cabinetry in our signature style. You will also be responsible for producing design sets and generating bids during the estimating process.
Our design, estimating, and drawing production is done using Cabinet Vision, an industry-standard software for cabinetry design. While prior experience with Cabinet Vision is a plus, comprehensive training will be provided. Ideal candidates will have experience with other CAD or 3D modeling software and a strong attention to detail.
As part of our team, you will report directly to Boxco’s Lead Designer and Project Manager, as well as work alongside the Director of Operations and Marketing & Sales Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimates and Design:
- Create accurate estimates for prospective clients using Cabinet Vision. Design cabinetry, develop initial quotes, and produce drawing sets.
- Develop preliminary kitchen designs based on client-provided drawings and sketches while adhering to Boxco’s cabinetry standards.
- Client Interaction:
- Meet with clients in person or via Google Meet to customize their cabinetry designs.
- Revise kitchen designs and produce updated drawing sets and bids throughout the customization process.
- Collaboration and Finalization:
- Work with Lead Designer to ensure that all projects are moving forward smoothly and to manage client expectations.
- Work with the Director of Operations to create and refine final drawings for client approval.
- Work with Sales and Marketing Manager to create initial estimates.
- Work with the entire studio team to oversee customization and production schedule.
- Software Management:
- Stay up-to-date with company software (Cabinet Vision, Airtable, Google Business Suite) and use Airtable to manage client data and track project progress.
- Blueprint Interpretation:
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, ranging from construction bid sets to rough sketches, to ensure accurate client expectations and execution.
- Product Visualization and Problem Solving:
- Visualize finished cabinetry and spaces to foresee potential complications in fabrication, installation, and functionality, ensuring corrections are made prior to production.
- Training and Development:
- Attend Cabinet Vision training workshops and seminars to stay current on industry best practices and software updates.
- Time Tracking and Reporting:
- Track your work hours using Workforce and report to management as necessary.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Take on other tasks as assigned by your managers, ensuring project success and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field or a closely related discipline.
- Software Experience:
- Experience with Cabinet Vision software (preferred) or other CAD/3D modeling software.
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Experience in Airtable a plus.
- Client Interaction and Customer Service: Prior experience working directly with clients to understand needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Self sufficiency/excellent time management and ability to manage/meet deadlines.
- Interest/Experience: Background in architecture, interior design, or a related field.
Compensation, Hours, and Benefits:
- Compensation: $26-29/hour, based on experience.
- Schedule: 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break each day).

Marketing Intern
Marketing Intern
Location: Greenfield, MA (Hybrid options available)
Hours: Part-time, 10-20 hours/week

Reports to: Sales & Marketing Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing/Social Media Intern to help expand our online presence and engage with our audience across various platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about design, storytelling, and digital marketing. You will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager to develop and implement strategies that showcase our projects, processes, and brand values. Internship responsibilities will also include some administrative work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content for Instagram, Pinterest, and other social media platforms.
- Assist in developing visual and written content that reflects Boxco Studio's brand identity and values.
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
- Collaborate with the team to highlight ongoing projects, behind-the-scenes moments, and client stories.
- Maintain an organized content calendar and in-house media library.
- Assist with marketing and sales-related administrative duties.
- Assist in updating and creating digital and printed sales tools, i.e., product specification sheets, look books, business cards, etc.
- Assist with maintenance of our studio and showroom, i.e., organizing and taking inventory of samples.
Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field OR equivalent experience!
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and Pinterest.
- Excellent written and visual communication skills with attention to detail.
- Basic photography and photo-editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools).
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools).
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
- Passion for design, sustainability, and storytelling.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience creating content for a design or lifestyle brand.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, Google Analytics).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for social media.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Indesign, Lightroom
